Masayuki Maruyama graduated from the University of Tokyo Faculty of Engineering. Masayuki passed the patent attorney examination while an undergraduate and worked on the acquisition of Japanese and foreign patent rights at a patent office following graduation. He passed the Japanese bar examination in 2014. Masayuki registered with the Tokyo Bar Association in December 2015 (68th class). He has been with Uchida & Samejima Law Firm since January 2016, providing IP and legal support to technology startups while working on large-scale patent litigations and IP disputes.
